Privacy
The short version
We don't ask for your name, email or an account. The prices you share are public. Files you upload to be read are not kept.
What we collect
- Prices you share: the product, price, store, suburb, date, notes and link you enter. These are shown publicly on the site.
- A random browser ID: your browser makes a random code and keeps it. We store a scrambled (hashed) version of it with your prices so you can delete them later, mark prices as helpful once, and so we can limit spam. It doesn't identify you by name.
- A scrambled version of your internet address (IP): used only to limit spam and abuse. We don't store your actual IP address.
- Feedback and reports you send us.
Quotes and receipts you upload
When you upload a quote, invoice or receipt, your browser turns it into images and sends them to our server. Our server passes them to Anthropic's Claude service to read the prices, then sends the result back to your browser. We don't save the file or the images. The AI is instructed not to return names, addresses, phone numbers, emails or account numbers, and those are never added to the site. Anthropic handles this data under its privacy policy and commercial terms. If you'd rather not upload a document, you can type the price in instead, or cover personal details before you upload.
Price alerts
Price alerts are saved only in your browser. We don't see or store them.
Cookies and spam checks
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. To stop spam we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which may check your browser when you share a price or upload a quote. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Where data is kept
The site and its database run on Cloudflare, which may store data outside Australia.
Deleting your prices
Open "My prices" on the same browser you used to share them and choose Delete. If you no longer have that browser, send us feedback with the details and we'll remove them.
